CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - More than 100 demonstrators have protested in Venezuela's capital Caracas in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, blaming Israel for days of fighting.
The demonstrators included Venezuelans as well as Palestinian immigrants who waved Palestinian flags and beat drums. One woman held a sign describing Israel's government as "terrorist."
The Caracas protest was held after Israel and the Hamas militant group agreed to a cease-fire on Wednesday to end eight days of rocket attacks and airstrikes.
Elsewhere in Latin America, dozens of protesters demonstrated outside the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. An Israeli flag was burned, and there was some pushing and shoving during the demonstration.
